Corel Pharma Chem, established in 1990 and headquartered at 'Corel House', S. G. Highway, Gota, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, researches and manufactures speciality polymers and excipients, and states it was the first company in Asia and second in the world to manufacture methacrylic-based speciality polymers for pharmaceutical applications. Its brands are ACRYCOAT, COLORCOAT, NUTRACOAT, ACRYPOL, KYRON, KYRON T-314, ACRYSOL, ACRYSET, ACRYM and ACRYFLOW, covering coatings, taste masking, disintegration, dissolution improvement, emulsification, solubilisation and rheology modification. Manufacturing is at Kadi in North Gujarat, about 45 km from Ahmedabad, with a polymer R&D lab on the same premises and a technical service lab at the Ahmedabad head office.
